The WES mantra encompasses our collective/shared core values and is recited by all stakeholders frequently. It is recited during morning announcements, Friday announcements, and whenever we're together as a school family. The WES mantra is ...
Be kind! Work hard! Share your feelings, and read, read, read! Go Wildcats!
Washington Elementary School (WES) is situated on a beautifully landscaped, tree-lined five-acre campus. The colonial style structure, which now comfortably houses 581 children, was built in 1931. The structural plan of the building provides: a full gym, a well equipped library and media center, a separate cafeteria complete with hot lunch and hot breakfast programs, a modern computer lab, a classic, air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity for over 475 persons, 34 standard sized classrooms, a nurse's suite, and individual instructional rooms for art, music, speech, special academic areas, and English as a Second Language instruction. WES will soon have an SEL lab too.
